Tatsuoki was a painter who also made more than twenty lithographic prints featuring flowers and (or) birds. Eighteen examples are included in this gallery. Click on a picture to enlarge it. Tatsuoki’s drawing style makes his pictures look like semi-abstract watercolor paintings. Careful study is often required to distinguish between a picture’s flower or bird subject and its complex multi-colored background.
